Super Speedway this weekend

There is going to be a Super Speedway Spectacular on this weekend at the MCD Esperance Speedway with racing on both Saturday and Sunday nights.

 

On Saturday Night the MCD Esperance Speedway will play host to Round one of the TV Financial Services Kalgoorlie-Esperance Challenge. Old Rivalry’s will be renewed with Kalgoorlie cars invading Esperance to take on the locals. A great initiative between the two clubs visiting drivers receive double club points for this event so expect the racing to be hard and fast. This event features Juniors, AMCA’s, Productions and Street Stocks. Can the locals grab the bragging rights?

 

Sunday Night the MCD Esperance Speedway hosts the Star Transport Late Model Wild West Tour Grand Final. The Wild West Tour started last weekend with round 1 at the Perth Motorplex running in Conjunction with the Australian Championship for Late Model sedans. Round 2 will be held in Albany this Saturday night together with the West Australian Championship then onto the MCD Esperance Speedway for Round 3 and the Star Transport Grand Final.

 

A strong field of Late Models have nominated for the event including newly crowned Australian Champion Kodee Brown. Brown a Broome local is the first driver to win both the Super Sedan and Late Model Australian Championships. Local hopes rest with Matt Goodlad who makes a welcome return to Esperance this Sunday night. Jay Cardy will also be one to watch this Sunday night coming of being the highest qualifier in the Australian Championship. Other Nominations include Brad Blake, Michael Holmes, Jamie Oldfield, Craig Vosbergen and the Melvin Brothers. These 800hp Left Hand drive machines are set to put the show of the season this Sunday night.

 

So there you go race fans a massive weekend of Super Speedway Action out at The MCD Esperance Speedway.

Saturday night is the TV Financial Services Kalgoorlie Esperance Challenge and Sunday Night is The Star Transport Late Model Wild West Tour Grand Final. Gates open at 4pm with racing from 6 on both nights. There will be bar and canteen facilities available.
