JAMIE Landrigan is clocking up the miles in his pursuit of sprintcar racing in the 2016-17 season.
He is here at Esperance Speedway this weekend for a round of the 360 Power Series – a long way from his home base of Port Hedland.
The 28-year-old made his debut in a 360 sprintcar in Port Hedland in 2015 and he has listed his career highlight as winning the Port Hedland Sprintcar Stampede, that he put down as “beginners luck”.
The heavy duty fitter has been busy this season – racing in both the 360 and 410 sprintcar ranks to get more laps under his belt.
At the Perth Motorplex on January 13 Landrigan finished second to James Inglis in the 20-lap feature race.
The following night, in another 20-lap feature race at the same venue, he was seventh.
