KAIDEN Manders has made it back to back rounds as he took out Round 7 of the SAWA 360 Sprintcar Power Series over brothers, Michael & Daniel Keen.

The young gun from Perth and hot favourite before the meeting began, now extends his lead in the current power series and is now a serious favourite to take out the entire 2016/2017 series.

It was another strong showing for the Keens Race Team on Saturday night, which saw the Keen brothers, Michael and Daniel, come away with second and third-place finishes in the seventh 360 Sprintcar Power Series round at Esperance Speedway.

Sharing the podium for the second time this season, with the first taking place earlier this month at the Perth Motorplex, when Daniel scored the feature-race victory and Michael finished in third, both drivers continued to gain valuable 360 Power Series points on Saturday night by virtue of their strong form.

Starting out of position two alongside Kaiden Manders after defeating three drivers in the top-six shootout, including his younger brother Michael, Daniel looked poised to claim the runner-up spot, having held on to it for the majority of the 25-lap feature race. However, determined to get one back on his brother, defending 360 Power Series Champion Michael, who started out of position five and had made it up to third place by lap six, managed to pull off a last-lap pass to steal second place, with Daniel completing the podium in third.

“It was great for the team to be able to get both cars on the podium again,” commented current WA 360 Sprintcar and Limited Sprintcar Champion Michael.

“Having two consistently competitive cars is a real credit to all of the hard work put in by our team and the amazing support we receive from all of our family and sponsors.”

Getting his night underway in a positive fashion, Daniel came away with second and third-place finishes in his heat races, while Michael finished sixth in his opening heat race and managed to back it up with a victory in heat-race two.

After missing the sixth round of the 360 Power Series, both Daniel and Michael will be hoping to continue their recent form in order to claw back some points and consolidate a top-five spot in the current 360 Power Series point standings.
