Meeting Preview - by DTN Media

The McD Contracting Esperance Speedway is going all-out in it's last instalment for the 2017/2018 season this Easter Sunday!

It all comes down to this!

Good Evening race fans and welcome to Esperance Speedway for the final round of the Slims Tyre Service West Coast Series, proudly presented by Racemate Storage Solutions. The night's event is proudly supported by McDonald's Esperance & Valvoline.

After six nights of racing across the season, it all comes down to this, the seventh and final round of this years series and with one and a half times the normal points on offer it is going to come down to the wire!

Last night we headed to Kalgoorlie Speedway and put on a show and now we plan to do it all over again right here in Esperance, but before we started our ‘Red Dirt Easter Classic’ it was Brendon Marshman who came in as the overall series leader.

Marshman has had a break out year with consistent performances, including two podium finishes, giving him a forty six point buffer heading into last night’s event.

Despite a tough season Cody Turacchio has done enough to hold onto second and is a very real chance of stealing away the series title after tonight’s round, especially with one and a half times more points on offer. This weekend driving his wife Tegan’s #5 machine Cody will be hopeful of a strong run to close out his season.

Brent Lockwood has been a regular West Coast Series competitor over the last few seasons and has also scored two podium finishes this year. Although slightly further back in the points, Lockwood still has a mathematical chance of taking out the series and will give it his all this weekend.

Chris Dymock is currently fourth after missing one round but he has certainly made up for it with a whole pile of Feature wins to his name this season while others like Beau Rogers and Brendan Wright have impressed across the season and will be hoping to do that again tonight.

It is sure to be a massive night and with the series on the line all the drivers are going to leave it all on the line! Make sure you yell, scream and shout for your favourite!
Currently, the club has 11 of some of WA's best ready to battle it out in a clay sprint like no other.

The crowd's favourite demolition derby is back again in 2018 ready for some smashing action. Do you have an eye on a favourite for this years Demo Derby champions?

The Easter bunny will be out at the track ready to give-away some chocolate goodness for all the kids too so join us at the McD Contracting Esperance Speedway this easter for a family friendly event that is sure to satisfy everyone's taste!
